we want to get straight to that breaking news out of pakistan this morning. where the taliban is claiming responsibility for a deadly attack at a university. it took place in northwest pakistan. about 30 miles away from the city of peshawar. a local lawmaker tells nbc news at least 20 people are dead, another 60 injured, after gunmen stormed the university. they reportedly scaled the walls around the campus. one regional police chief tells nbc news the armed men fired at security guards, students and teachers. according to one military official, at least four of the gunmen were killed during a shoot-out with security forces. the taliban has also claimed responsibility for a bombing attack at a nearby police checkpoint yesterday, killing at least 10 people. and back in december 2014, the taliban attacked a nearby military school, about 150 teachers and students were killed in that attack. after the incident, pakistani officials increased security at several educational facilit
