Kjell Magne Bondevik’s organisation the Oslo Centre received NOK 600 000 from the foundation of a very wealthy Catholic pastor from Nigeria. Six months later, Bondevik’s collaborating partner Aamir J. Sheikh asked a Member of Parliament to nominate the pastor for a Nobel Peace Prize. "This had nothing to do with the Madonna Foundation"s support for the Oslo Center," says Sheikh.

JNS.org – If Shaun Henrik Matheson was an American radio presenter rather than a Norwegian one, it’s highly unlikely that he’d still have a job this week.
Matheson is the presenter of a morning show on the P13 channel, a component part of the expansive state-owned Norwegian media network
NRK. As Matheson’s editor explained it in an appearance before Norway’s Broadcasting Council last week, the show is meant to tune the listener into the personal universe of a congenial host who plays a selection of music, and shares his opinions and insights, in an entertaining, conversational manner without straying into overt comedy. It sounds like a million other morning shows around the world, but in Norway once again, according to Matheson’s editor “Shaun on P13” apparently represents a “subjective genre” that is “unusual for NRK, which otherwise strives for objectivity and balance.”
AstraZeneca s COVID-19 vaccine performed better than expected in a major late-stage trial potentially paving the way for its emergency authorization.
Earlier in the day on Wednesday, Skarrud had already commented that the Broadcasting Council was receiving an unusually large number of complaints against Matheson.
“Over 200 complaints in 24 hours is very rare,” Skarrud told broadcaster
Medier24, when the number of complaints stood at 229. “That happens only once or twice a year.”
Skarrud said that the Broadcasting Council would discuss the complaints at its weekly meeting.
Matheson’s initial reaction to the complaints was to insist that his remarks about Israel were intended as a joke. NRK later issued a public apology for the on-air rant.
