i mean, ge has the same market cap, a little less, actually than tesla, something like 50 billion. tesla is 53 billion. yet, ge makes $10 billion a year in profits and produces 10 million cars a year. some astronomical amount of carses. tesla makes no money. loses money. g.m. or ge. g.m. i m sorry. i have ge on the brain. that s another sob story. g.m., tesla loses money and produces a fraction of that. neil: he is the face of the company. don t bet in occultic personalities. you bet with your heart. bet with your 90 s not your heart. you know, neil, look at the numbers. they missed production forecasts. they are not profitable. run by a guy. neil: beautiful cars. some people watch business charlie gasper reena. they are run by a guy who
neil: well, he lives to fight another day. elon musk and tesla joined at the hip and that s a good thing for investors. charlie is here to splanchts he got a good deal for funding secure treat which wasn t really secured. neil: it looked like they were going to throw the book at him. they were and they didn t. he remains ceo has to give up chairman but that s pretty weak tea. stock was up $8 billion today in just one day. 17.4%. i sail this, if you are an average investor out there. this is still a company you have to be worried about. take out that he gets to stay at the company. whenever you have a stock. neil: can t have both titles chairman and ceo. he is still the ceo. that s why people like that. they think he is the visionary and reason for the company. digest that for a second. totally reliant on one guy whose future and he is the inanother variety. is he everything to that company. that s not a good bet.
trade numbers have not really showed up in g.d.p. just yet. we haven t seen the latest g.d.p. clip but, you know, they are not really in the numbers. and one of the things is this. i don t think most people, particularly traders, are worried as much about china because they know china is a presently bad player. but they are worried today. they are worried today. they are worried today and they were worried yesterday. i am saying they will trade-off on the headline. the algorithm it wasn t down that much. we didn t lose like 1,000 points today. actually backing up what charlie said as well we hit the record highs on friday for the s&p 500 so today better get back. my point is this worried about unconcerted effort un that the trump administration goes nuts on trade attacks everybody and doesn t isolate china. i think that s the worst of all worlds here. neil: trade that a lot of stuff. let me ask you kavanaugh, you don t mind, fails at becoming a supreme court justice it fa
