More than 300 residents have been evacuated from a Miami high-rise deemed structurally and electrically unfit just kilometres from the site of last week s deadly Surfside tower collapse which has so-far claimed 22 lives.

Residents of a high-rise unit block in North Miami Beach have been evacuated after a review into the building - prompted by the devastating collapse of the Surfside residential building last week - deemed it unsafe.
North Miami Beach City Manager Arthur Sorey III ordered an audit on Tuesday of all buildings built more than 40 years ago to ensure they were compliant with the necessary certifications.
