The Kansas men’s and women’s cross country teams competed at Pre-Nationals Invite in Charlottesville, Va this morning, as seniors Chandler Gibbens and Lona Latema led the way with top-five finishes.
Razorback sophomore Ben Shearer defeated the field assembled for the Virginia Pre-Nationals amid an inclement day at Panorama Farms, winning the 8,000m race in a time of 22 minutes, 55 seconds as No. 21 Arkansas claimed the team title with 35 points.
The Kansas cross country team is ready to compete in the Pre-Nationals Invitational, hosted by the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Va. on Saturday, Oct. 14.
