Federal Investigation Authority’s or FIA Cyber Crime wing has launched a crackdown against defunct Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan’s or TLP social media accounts. At least 12 people were arrested during the simultaneous operation in Lahore, Faisalabad, Nankana Sahab, Islamabad and elsewhere in Punjab, said FIA. The suspects, FIA said, were involved in posting ‘doctored images and fake videos’ on the internet. On Wednesday, Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced initiating an operation against the people spreading fake news and hatred on social media. Later, Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad ordered the authorities concerned to launch a crackdown on the social media.
Gujranwala medical superintendent braves fury of protesters, gets oxygen cylinders to hospital

A medical superintendent, belonging to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Gujranwala, has shown immense bravery and dedication to his duty amid an increasingly worsening situation, as protests by a religious party continued for a second day on Tuesday.
According to Medical Superintendent Fazl-ur-Rehman, his vehicle, carrying oxygen cylinders from Lahore, reached Gujranwala when it was stopped by protesters at the Chanda Qila Bypass.
Fazl-ur-Rehman said that he was beaten up by a few protesters but he continued to plead with them to let him get the cylinders to the hospital and was able to have his vehicle spared from an onslaught.

Three people were killed and 10 injured during a clash between landowners and security guards of the Royal Palm City, a private housing society in Gujranwala, on Tuesday.
The landowners have accused the housing society of not paying them for their lands. The dispute between the landowners and the society has been going on for almost a week.
The landowners staged a protest outside the housing societyâs office in Chanda Qila, Gujranwala.
