Boris Johnson has been criticised by the families of Covid-19 victims after he defended the actions of Downing Street staff against accusations of holding parties during the pandemic.
In a statement Scotland Yard said it had concluded a probe into a December 2020 event in Parliament with no fines being issued to Tory MPs alleged to be involved
The revelation of the increased funding came shortly after Chancellor Rishi Sunak s commitment to revive the plan following the resignation of the immigration minister.
“Were you concerned that paying people to stay at home would destroy the work ethic? Did you commission any evidence on how losing touch with the office would undermine productivity? And did you demand that the tightest possible checks were in place to prevent fraud?”
