OBION COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) â The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 70-year-old murder suspect David Vowell was found dead this afternoon.
Law enforcement found his body in Reelfoot Lake in Obion County around 3 p.m. Saturday.
He s accused of killing 26-year-old Chance Black and 25-year-old Zachery Grooms of Weakley County.
Authorities charged him with two counts of first degree murder on Tuesday.
TBI agents, along with officers from Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Tennessee Highway Patrol, and Madison County Fire started the search for him around the Reelfoot Lake area yesterday.

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation identified the body of a Tennessee man, 70, who was wanted as a suspect in the shooting deaths of two men in a duck hunting blind.
David Vowell was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths last week of Zachery Grooms, 25, and Chance Black, 26, both of Tennessee. The body of David Vowell has been recovered in the waters of Reelfoot Lake, said a post on the bureau s Twitter page Saturday. He was located around 3 p.m., today, near the area of the incident. His identity has been confirmed and an autopsy will be performed.
