The Rome Floyd Chamber is seeking nominations for its annual small business and leadership awards programs.
Each year the chamber recognizes a Small Business of the Year and in recent years has added Emerging Business and Exceptional Seven awards.
Nominations are being accepted through Jan. 4.
âWe want to promote and highlight our small businesses in Rome and Floyd County,â said Chamber President Jeanne Krueger. âItâs a great way for people in our community to learn more about these businesses and what they do.â
Nominees for the Small Business of the Year must be active chamber members and physically located within Floyd County.
Five Coronado Island hotels generously offered complimentary stays to incentivize shoppers to make the most of the Holiday Sidewalk Sale on Dec 5 and 6, and now the lucky contest winners have been announced!
âCalling prize winners is definitely a perk of the job,â said the Chamberâs Communications Manager Belinda Jones. âThe surprise and delight from the recipients is the good kind of contagious and it was encouraging to hear just how dedicated Coronado residents are to shopping local. Emily Pender - who won a two-night stay at the Coronado Island Marriott Resort & Spa - made sure even her Christmas cards were designed by a local artist!â
