Habitat for Humanity used furniture store opens in Warminster

It’s hard to find diapers, stained glass lamps, vintage toys and ceramic trinkets all in one place, but that’s what Habitat for Humanity is for. For 13 years, Bucks County’s Habitat chapter has operated its Chalfont ReStore, selling used furniture, clothing, homegoods, appliances and more. But the 22,500-square-foot space just got an upgrade, nearly doubling in size. ReStore is moving to 539 Jacksonville Road in Warminster, a 40,000-square-foot building one of the largest ReStores in the country with a larger parking lot and “more visible” storefront, said Bucks County ReStore Director BJ Breish. Breish, who has worked with Habitat for about seven years, oversees both the new Warminster site, as well as the second Bucks County ReStore in Middletown. He said the move from Chalfont, which was announced in early April, is a response to the store’s popularity and inability to physically accommodate its customers.

Chalfont Habitat ReStore relocating to Warminster, doubling its size

Chalfont Habitat ReStore is relocating to Warminster and doubling its size to become one of the largest in the country, store officials announced Monday. The store, run by Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County, will be moving its offices and relocating to 539 Jacksonville Road in Warminster. A grand opening for the new 40,000-square-foot store is slated for early summer 2021. The Habitat for Humanity ReStores are nonprofit home improvement stores and donation centers that sell new and gently used building materials, appliances, furniture, and home accessories at a fraction of the retail price. Habitat ReStores help build homes and communities locally and around the world by raising money to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity and diverting tons of reusable materials from landfills. There are over 900 restores across the country.
