The Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) will strengthen the opposition INDIA bloc nationally but will also continue to fight against both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, according to senior CPI(M) leader Sujan Chakraborty. Chakraborty stated that the CPI(M) will not be part of the INDIA bloc coordination committee but will put its efforts against the BJP. He also accused the TMC of having a secret understanding with the BJP and vowed to continue the party s fight against the saffron party.
