Dimapur, Nov. 20 (EMN): Western Chakhesang Youth Organisation (WCYO) organised a leadership seminar on November 12 at Western Chakhesang Baptist Church Council Mission Centre (WCBCCMC) on the theme “Leadership and resilience for the youth in a globalised and competitive world.” Gracing the occasion as resource person, Kekhwengulo Lea, vice chairman of Nagaland State Cooperative Bank Ltd and former president of Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), quoted Socrates’ philosophy by saying, “Know thyself” if you want to become a leader. Speaking on the history of Chakhesangs, he stated that the head of the village was known as Thuvo/ Mewo. Dimapur, Oct. 26 (EMN): Leaders cutting across political line and churches in Phek district have resolved to support the clean election movement initiated by Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC). The resolution to this effect was taken during a joint meeting organised by the Chakhesang Clean Election Movement (CCEM) with various groups including political party workers and prayer centres/houses in Phek district at the conference hall of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) in Pfütsero town on October 25. An update from CCEM stated that over 70 participants that attended the meeting resolved to support the Nagaland Baptist Church Council and the CCEM’s clean election guidelines and principles. Kohima, Oct. 19 (EMN): The Centre Chakhesang Public Organisation (CCPO) has resolved to uphold the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) standing resolution on the Naga peace talks. An update from CCPO informed that the resolution was reaffirmed after a lengthy deliberation on the Naga Peace talks during its meeting held on October 17 in Sakraba town.
