Traditionally at least, January is a time for resolutions. Junk food is thrown out. Dry January pacts are formed. A better you is usually the goal, even if the results may vary.
But given that we’re still enduring a pandemic, and normal life is hard enough, you couldn’t be blamed for skipping the self-improvement plan and seeking comfort wherever you can find it. If Belgian tripels are your thing right now, there’s no judgment here.
I did Dry January last year, and I’m doing it again this year. One source of comfort for me has been the ever-increasing selection of delicious nonalcoholic beers. Whether you’re going completely dry or are just looking to cut back, there are more flavors and brands than ever. Here are four nonalcoholic beers I’ve come to enjoy.
It s been a long time since I ve been out on New Year s Eve, so I m not going to miss not being able to attend a big party to toast the new year at midnight. Heck, where I am, we re not even permitted to be out after 8 p.m. or buy booze after 6 p.m. I suspect many of you will be staying home as well, avoiding those crowds and the dangers of the road. That doesn t mean you can t make it special, and for me, that means great food and drink on New Year s Eve, but also traditional dishes that represent luck both on the Eve and the Day.

I’ve already written enough about non-alcoholic beer as 2020 comes to a close that I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but with Dry January upon us you can expect to see more N/A coverage as I continue to explore reducing my own alcohol consumption. Having said this all quite frequently recently, I won’t get into the surge in N/A brands available now; I’ll simply summarize with the following.
