Designed by award-winning architects MHN Design Union and Silvester Fuller along with interior architects Make and landscape designers Sue Barnsley Design, One Sydney Park is a residential and retail precinct planned to be built on a 2.1ha former industrial site on the edge of Alexandria’s Sydney Park. Highlights of the project include retail and dining precincts, community spaces, rooftop gardens, health club, lap pool and an outdoor plaza among others.

The proposed student accommodation project on Dixon Street, Haymarket in Sydney’s Chinatown has been recommended for approval following amendments to the original design.
Designed by PTW Architects, the 17-storey tower sensitively incorporates the existing heritage buildings at 82-84 Dixon Street into the retail podium of the building. However, the design drew criticism from the Design Advisory Panel at a meeting held in March this year.
While the panel commended the architects for incorporating the Kwong Wah Chong building, considered the heart of Chinatown, they found issues with the street facades, especially the full height glazing at ground level.
Minister says housing agency âmistakenâ if they think heâll do their bidding for Waterloo

NSW Planning Minister Rob Stokes says the City of Sydneyâs plan to redevelop the Waterloo public housing estate is superior to the one originally put forward by the state government agency overseeing it and the latter is mistaken if they believe they will get what they want.
But he also said the council failed to reach a conclusion in a dispute with Land and Housing Corporation â the authority responsible for social housing â over the scale of the development, after warning on Tuesday he would intervene if a deadlock wasnât resolved within weeks.
