Salt Lake County opened the Central City Recreation Center, located at 615 S. 300 East, at about 9 p.m. as a temporary warming spot. The center will continue to be used based on need while the dangerously cold weather persists.
As much of Utah has experienced dangerously cold temperatures over the past several days, leaders are making more resources available to individuals experiencing homelessness.
