The summertime event was once best known for rowdiness more akin to a frat party. Now, it's a "part of a broader recovery strategy" for restaurants still recovering from pandemic losses.
Drury Beer Garden is reopening as DBG in Midtown Village on Friday, May 19 with a revamped menu of signature burgers, including a $700 burger made with Japanese wagyu beef and lobster meat. The restaurant and outdoor beer garden will showcase 15 different burgers, specialty cocktails, a 60-foot mural and new seating for guests who want to spend their summer at the Center City hideaway. To celebrate the launch of the burger bar, DBG will give out free burgers to the first 50 people who arrive for Friday's happy hour.
