Baron, who is also a Finance Committee member, said he was “heartened” by the community’s response.
The new Selectboard member said he is ready to “jump right into it,” as Whately’s Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, June 15.
“I better get ready for that,” Baron said. “Beyond that, I need to get up to speed on everything else.”
Baron said he is excited to get into the job and try to help Whately continue to grow.
“I will work hard and figure out how best to move the town forward,” Baron said.
Berlin voters fill elected seats at annual election
BERLIN - There may have been little question about the end results, but 133 voters - 4% of the registered voters - took the time to cast ballots Monday in Berlin s annual election.
All but 12 voters cast ballots for three candidates: Roger Bradley for a one-year seat as an assessor, Beth Christensen for a one-year seat as a Library Trustee and Robert Wheeler for a three-year seat on the Board of Health.
For the three-year seat as a Cemetery Commissioner, Brenna Ewing out-paced John Cross, 21-11.
