For a long time theres been confusion on which of iowas thousands of former offenders are eligible to vote. Right now the only way felons can vote is if their rights are restored by the governor. Several civil Rights Groups are speaking out. Saying the court should change this. And restore felons Voting Rights before the 2016 president ial election. Iowa is one of three state with lifetime voting bans for felons. Some iowans say there doesnt to be any change with the law because Voting Rights are restored to former felons after they prove to the governor they have changed. Others disagree. Recovering tonight after firefighters rescue them from their burning home. It happened just before 11 45 last night in cedar falls, at a Mobile Home Park in the 2500 block of union road. Firefighters rescued a five yearold girl, a threeyearold boy and their mother from the home. They had to head back to the scene around four this morning when the fire picked up again.
