Organisers and spectators of the SA Schools Cross-Country national competition were left reeling after more than 20 young pupils collapsed while racing towards the finishing line. The event was held at Walter Sisulu University’s Potsdam campus on Saturday. About 14 schoolchildren, some of them as young as 10, were transported to the Cecilia Makiwane Hospital for treatment.
