Catoctin Mountain Park and Monocacy National Battlefield have received federal funds for projects related to ecosystem resilience, restoration and environmental planning needs.
Millions of dollars are being distributed across the National Park System for projects ranging from forest restoration and fisheries improvements to orphaned gas well reclamation work and a battle to save native Hawaiian birds from extinction.
They will be used to plant native trees at the site.

Thurmont, Md (KM) Sixth District Representative David Trone (D) announced some funding is coming to Catoctin Mountain Park. He says the park will receiving $446.000 from the Inflation Reduction Act to plant more than
