Men's DIII First Round: Catholic Looks to Showcase Growth; Huge Second Round Looms Sunday

Stevens vs. Catholic, 4 p.m. Saturday Stevens enters the 2021 NCAA Tournament as a regular of sorts while Catholic will be making just its third appearance in the tournament. In their first year under head coach Jon Sax, Catholic was granted a Pool A bid, has worked for an undefeated season, and downed the three-time returning conference champion Elizabethtown twice. With the schedule limited to solely Landmark opponents, the Cardinals have not had the same tests that they typically would during a regular season. Predicting how good this team truly is becomes a bit difficult as there are no cross-reference games. That changes in Round 1, and we will finally get to see exactly how good this Catholic team is.
