there s a national conversation about harriet tubman going on right now but i think for folks who live in maryland, folks in baltimore who feel a connection to that history,, i don t think they will stop talk but harry cubin. one my favorite places in the city ise a place called tubman house. has anyone been to tubman house? you should really check it out on one of their volunteers they stick is a folks after the uprising, after the murder of freddie gray took over a house in west baltimore. they took over a house, turn it into a community center. the neighborhood where people and very little of anything and the community came together t to take something back for themselves. they said schooley, the house had to be demolished but they have taken over multiple loss in the area to get chickens, farms, amazing youth program going on and it s really just a center of hope for a neighborhood that needs it. they did all that under the name of tubman house because the story of harrie
meaningful occasion. because we have a group of historians who have advised us in the opening of our new gallery civil war and reconstruction, the battle for freedom and equality.
