(Shutterstock) RIDLEY TOWNSHIP, PA Delaware County is hosting an Earth Day celebration this weekend in Ridley Township. The Delaware County Department of Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society, announced a tree planting event to take place at 9 a.m. Saturday in Ridley Township s Catania Park. Fifteen new trees will be planted around the athletic field, and the planting work will be done by volunteers from the Ridley Athletic Club, local Tree Tenders, and students from Penncrest High School, Parks & Recreation Director Marc Manfre said.
