Sarah Atkins was charged with kidnapping Mint Butterfield. She was also charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor. After Mint was found, Christopher Dizefalo was also charged.
On Saturday evening, the Marin County Sheriff s Office said they had located Mint Butterfield safe in the California city after being found with an adult friend.
The 16-year-old, who uses they/them pronouns, vanished from their mother s home in affluent Bolinas, on April 21, before their mom reported them missing the following day.
