there s a lot of people who feel like there s too much change coming too quickly for them at this point in their lives. they are very concerned about radicalization and people who are doing things in the explosion of gay rights. talking about critical race theory. those things alarm them and i think that cassie s record that will energize the base and it certainly did for president trump and 2016 and 2020 when he had good turnout. on the other hand, it s not always the case that it just flows one way. i think there s lots of people and here i would say suburban women voters are alarmed over abortion rights being taken away at the supreme court. there s a lot of black voters who are very concerned about what has been going on with people saying you can t have books that include discussion of slavery because it hurts white people s feelings. and then of course gay people who say look what s going on in terms of the governors going after in their communities.
