Arkansasâs governor on Monday vetoed a ban on gender-affirming medical care for transgender youth, calling the legislation a âvast government overreachâ and a âproduct of the cultural war in America.â
Arkansas Republican Governor Asa Hutchinson said that if signed into law, the bill would interfere with physicians and parents âas they deal with some of the most complex and sensitive matters involving young people.â
