Will Maxx Williams be in for an expanded role on the offense this season? With the lack of urgency to add a tight end, Williams could be tasked to be more than just a quality blocker in 2021 Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images The Arizona Cardinals went into the main free agency period and the draft with a supposed need at tight end after Dan Arnold signed with the Carolina Panthers this offseason but came out with none. They added N.C. State’s Cary Angeline and Cincinnati’s Bruno Labelle as undrafted free agents. The Cardinals also added Austrian tight end Bernhard Seikovits from the International Player Pathway program.

The Cardinals signed two tight ends, both offering a little bit of a different look. We looked at Cary Angeline, let’s take a look at the other tight end, Bruno Labelle. University of Cincinnati tight end Bruno Labelle (6-4, 247) played in 46 games in four years and had 20 receptions for 150 yards and two touchdowns. A native of Montreal, Quebec, Labelle had a career-high 10 receptions for 81 yards and a touchdown last year in seven games while helping the Bearcats to an undefeated regular season and an appearance in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl. He graduated from Cincinnati in 2019 and was named to the 2019 AAC All-Academic team.
