Bedford County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tammy Garrett, has announced Wednesday that Malcolm Martin has been named assistant principal of Cartwright Elementary School.
Jeff Sweeney, owners’ representative for Bedford County government construction projects, reported to the county’s Financial Management Committee on Tuesday night, Jan. 23, that the County has achieved more than $1 million in savings on the new Cartwright Elementary School under construction on the north side of Shelbyville.
Districts are trying to get creative when it comes to recruiting and retaining teachers. Some are finding success with their strategies, but not all of those solutions may be sustainable long term.
