years ago made a public statement warning that terrorists could use cargo planes to transport hazardous materials or simply blow them up. he said it was the number one concern that they had in the u.k. this is two years ago, 2008. and so, you know, we ve been kind of anticipating that someone would take a run at the cargo system at some point, and it appears whether this is a hoax or whether it s just a dry run, that it s finally happened today, and hopefully we ve got the procedures in place to track down all the parcels that originated in yemen that we have concern about. jenna: you know neil, one of the things that our viewers might be asking, we re all aware, obviously, from 911 and beyond that, just aware of the different threats that are coming into this country. but the threat that you were just talking about, on the cargo planes, might be known to those experts but not necessarily to the rest of us. you don t want to dig too far into all the thinking
years, they haven t had a lot of success. reporter: i think judging by what has gone on today we have had some success in identifying things that are how did they put it, things that look bad. the reality is we can t shut our entire cargo system down, number one. as has been brought up on fox over the last hour, blowing up a cargo airplane is not particularly something a terrorist would do. it s getting things into our system, into brooklyn or queens which they did not do. i think overall i m pretty confident that we have a system, this is not like pearl harbor where the radar message on the japanese was not read. we read it this time. there will be other messages. i think we shouldn t path ours on the back but we should be at least confident that the system is starting to work. megyn: is there any sort of a screening process that pilots can do? we had initial reports today that perhaps one of the pilots on board one of these philadelphia planes had done some sort of a visual inspe
