Two London pharmacies are now doling out COVID-19 shots to adults 55 and over, as the area’s mass vaccination sites open up eligibility to the 65-plus crowd.
The Shoppers Drug Mart at 603 Fanshawe Park Rd. W. began administering COVID-19 shots to the public Tuesday morning after receiving a shipment of Oxford-AstraZeneca doses the night before.

The London-area health unit is delaying second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine up to 112 days and is rescheduling followup appointments for more than 10,000 people who already received the first shot.
Following direction from the province, the Middlesex-London Health Unit announced Tuesday it’s moving second dose appointments scheduled for as soon as Wednesday to 16 weeks after the first shot was administered.

The new timeline affects everyone who received their first dose of vaccine except long-term care or retirement home residents who had a second dose appointment booked on or after March 10.
