Washed-up Cape fur seal pups have been spotted all along the Western Cape coastline, with many found on Melkbos, Blouberg and Milnerton beaches – but all they need is rest, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA says.
The Cape of Good Hope SPCA was alerted to an incident of dog fighting on Thursday but by the time inspectors arrived on the scene, the minors had fled taking the injured dogs with them.
A tribute ceremony in honour of Dr Natheem Jacobs, a veterinarian murdered earlier this month, was held at the Cape of Good Hope SPCA in Grassy Park on Wednesday 8 March.
The Cape of Good Hope SPCA is asking members of the Plumstead community who may have witnessed guinea fowls being shot in their neighbourhood in the past few weeks to come forward.
