DRYDEN A Dryden police officer has been awarded a 20-year Exemplary Service Medal.
Detective Sgt. Janet Kaus of the Dryden Police Service was issued the medal by police chief Douglas A. Palson, according to a news release.
The award is issued by the Governor General of Canada to officers who have 20 years of service with one or more recognized Canadian Police Services.

The DPS says Detective Sergeant Kaus sets high standards, strives for excellence and the service is very fortunate to have her as part of the team.
Due to COVID-19, a formal ceremony was not held but Chief Doug Palson was able to present the award to Detective Sergeant Kaus.
The Police Exemplary Service Medal is issued by the Governor General of Canada and is awarded to Police Officers who have 20 years of Exemplary Service with one or more recognized Canadian Police Services.
