troops have, quote, advanced to the gates of gaza city. it follows days of heavy fighting between israeli forces ,hamas fighters. the battles inside gaza are blamed for. the deaths of at least 17 idf soldiers since friday. at least nine of them died in one incident after being struck by an anti-tank guided missile. israeli airstrikes also jabalya ,a densely populated and populated area in northern gaza. israel claims the buildings they were housing hamas operatives and that people living there had been urged to evacuate. hamas claims many civilians were killed, but it s not possible to confirm how many have died over the past two days of heavy bombardment. and for the first time since the war began, some foreign passport holders and critically injured palestinians were allowed to leave through the rafah border crossing. a handful of americans have been able to leave, but at least 400 other u.s. citizens stuck in gaza. i won t get into details than to say that we feel confid
