We ve talked about the va scandal. if we talked about it in the last couple of days, there would be no complaints about the taxpayer supported guests at the guantanamo bay detention camp. why their health care is probably better than yours. reporter: the ratio of medical staff to detainees at the guantanamo bay detention camp is nearly 1 to 1. there are seven doctors assigned to the task force to take care of the detainees. there are 23 nurses, and then there s 94 hospital corpsman. reporter: that s 124 medical personnel for 149 detainees. on a camp tour, as reporters walked from medical suite to medical suite, the contrast to the va could not be more plain. for security reasons reporters were asked to not reveal names or faces. if there s an acute need in the middle of the night, the doctor comes in and sees them.
