The sixth round comes at a time when businesses continue to struggle to make ends meet. In the Sacramento area, at least 40% of Black-owned businesses have been permanently closed due to COVID-19. This grant could be the lifesaver for some of these businesses, said Lina Doyle, director of operations at Sacramento s Black Small Business Association.
