A telephone call to a pharmacy anywhere in Louisiana seeking the COVID-19 vaccine at this point will likely be met with a recorded message or store clerk advising qualifying citizens to add their names to a waiting list, as all the recently distributed doses have been allocated.
Brookshire’s Pharmacy on Line Avenue in Shreveport urges those seeking the coronavirus vaccine to check back in February to be added to their waiting list.
“We only received 100 doses for each of the stores,” Charlotte Weller, health services manager for Brookshire Grocery Companies, told The Times Tuesday. “There’s been a strong response from people seeking the vaccine.
