Sulphur City Court and the Ward 4 Marshal, in partnership with the city of Sulphur and Calcasieu Parish District Attorney s Office, is offering a Clean Slate Amnesty Program April 19-May 14 to settle outstanding warrants issued prior to Jan. 1, 2021.
During this time, individuals with outstanding warrants for traffic violations, misdemeanors and other offenses may pay fines at a reduced rate, in some cases up to 50 percent.

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - Calcasieu Parish District Attorney Stephen Dwight is warning residents that a social security number scam has been noticed in the area.
Victims of the scam are reporting that they received a call saying their social security number has been blocked and that they owe money.
The caller, who claims to be the District Attorney, is asking people to give out their credit card numbers and recite their social security numbers.
