Published July 20, 2021, 7:47 AM Severe tropical storm Fabian continues to move slowly west- northwestward and is expected to bring rains in some parts of Luzon, the state weather bureau said Tuesday. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Fabian was located 1,035 kilometers east- northeast of extreme northern Luzon as of 4 a.m. It has maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 115 kph. “Fabian is unlikely to bring heavy rainfall in the country throughout the forecast period,” PAG-ASA said in its latest weather bulletin update. However, monsoon rains will be experienced in the next 24 hours over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan, the state weather bureau said.
