Clemson, SC The Clemson men’s golf team will travel to Hawaii this week to compete in the ninth Ka’anapali Classic at Royal Ka’anapali Golf Course in Lahaina, Hawaii. The Tigers will be one of 20 teams in the tournament that will run October 26-28 on the par 71 course that measures 67-yards.Clemson is one of three teams in the field to win this tournament in recent years. The Tigers were the 2016 champions, while Kansas won in 2021 and Oklahoma won last year.Making up the rest of the field are Air Force, Boise State, Colorado, CSUN, Denver, East Tennessee State, Georgia, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Liberty, Louisiana, Mount St. Mary's, North Florida, Sacramento State, San José State, UConn, and Wyoming.The three-day, 54-hole tournament begins each day with an 8:30 a.m. (Hawaii time) with a shotgun start . Clemson, SC Calahan Keever fired and even-par 72 on Monday to lead Clemson to a sixth-place standing after the first round of The Blessings Intercollegiate in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The tournament in its fourth year is being played at The Blessings Golf Course on the University of Arkansas.Keever, a transfer from nearby Anderson (SC) University, had an eagle three on the par five 15h hole when he chipped in from off the green. It was the first eagle of his young Clemson career. The shot opened the television broadcast on the Golf Channel on Monday afternoon.Keever finished in third place as an individual at the Poston Invitational last week to earn a spot in Jordan Byrd’s lineup. He certainly responded in his first round playing in the Clemson lineup as he finished with nine hole scores of 36-36. He had two birdies, an eagle and four bogeys for the round. CLEMSON, S.C. Clemson golfer Calahan Keever finished third at the J.T. Poston Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. Keever, who was playing in his first tournament for the Tigers, was one of three Clemson golfer participating as an individual in the tournament held at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley in Sapphire, N.C. Keever had a 54-hole score of 207 on the par 71 course that measures 7007 yards. The former Eastside High School star and Greenville, SC native had rounds of 71 and 67 on Monday and had a two-under-par 69 on Tuesday. He improved eight positions with his 69 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for third with Luke Koenig of Georgia Southern and Juan Callejo of Elon. Remi Chartier of East Tennessee State won the tournament with a 199 total. Keever had 15 birdies for his 54 holes, fourth in the field of 100 golfers from around the southeast. He played the par five holes at 4.44 for the tournament and the par four holes at 3.94. Keever came to Clemson in August as a transfer
