reporter: right now, amtrak 188, there is no evidence that anything hit that windshield. the driver sits on the right side. the damage is in the lower left side of the front windshield. that is going to be looked at by the fbi, their criminal analysis to basically determine what could have struck there. was it a rock was it a bullet consistent with anything else or consistent with the fact this was involved with a crash. but again, the information they are getting, it is kind of convoluted about an overheard radio conversation by somebody else listening on this frequency. overheard by the conductor on the train. do we know where she was when she heard this conversation? we know right where she was. she was in the fourth car, the cafe car, listening on her
he likes it. he s happy. he was happy with his job. cnn has obtained the crew sheet for train 188, including the conductor, amelio conseco, hospitalized with a fractured skull. the assistant henry and tyese bryant who ran the train s cafe car. the crew has been instructed by amtrak not to talk to the media. drew griffin, cnn, philadelphia. one person knows exactly what happened, it s probably the engineer of train 188, brandon bostian. while he has agreed to speak with investigators, his lawyer says for now, bostian can t remember what happened. for more of an impact on what that might have on the investigation, we re joined now from washington. peter, if bostian never regains his memory, what sort of problems would that cause for the investigation? well, it will make it slightly more difficult, but

whether there are any passengers still unaccounted for and that s something we are looking at right now. reporter: rick leventhal reporting on scene in philadelphia. martha: we are getting brand-new images in the moments after the derailment. some of the photos are graphic. victims can be seen inside the cafe car. people walk around, they go into the cafe car as they were doing when this happened. former congressman patrick murphy was on board. he took these pictures. the iraq war veteran was describing a scene total chaos as victims were fighting to get out. > they went this way and other way, then it was just dark and stuffy and just a lot of blood.
