you for tuning in, we ll speak with you again no doubt. joining me on the phone, an nbc freelance reporter in santiago, chile. juan, i was just reading your note you sent to the nbc desk here with regard to the chaos. can you give us a visual perspective on the normalcy of things and yet where it doesn t go? because you re talking about buses running, and yet then they don t. it s amazing. we re talking 8.8 earthquake, there are buses still running as normal? no, at this time i am on the street and there are no buses. most of the gas stations are collapsed. the city itself seems to be normal, but there is extensive amount of damage in the old part of the city, which is because of the materials they were built with. most of the damage it could be also outside of santiago.
