Pet telehealth company Airvet closes on $18.2M to embark on enterprise focus

Pet ownership exploded during the global pandemic, and veterinarians are still struggling to keep up with demand. In fact, a Mars Veterinary Health report from 2022 highlighted a need for more than 41,000 vets to enter the industry over the next decade in order to meet demand. Not enough people are going into this field, which means there will be an estimated shortage of 15,000 veterinarians by 2030.

Collectly wants to make paying healthcare bills easier so medical providers don't lose $200B

Large healthcare organizations, for the most part, offer electronic billing, but that’s not always something solo or small practices can take advantage of. One report shows that the amount medical providers collected was about 55% of what they were owed in 2021, down from 76% the year prior. Pasadena-based Collectly has proprietary interfaces that integrate with electronic health records and practice management software to enhance patient billing operations.
