Neoma Ruth Gill, age 87, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday evening, January 10, 2023, at the Burge House in Flora. She was born November 6, 1935, in Louisville, the daughter of Harold and Pauline (Clifton) Muesing. She was united in marriage to Galen Ray Gill on December 29, 1956, in Louisville, and together they have celebrated 66 wedding anniversaries. Neoma was a 1953 graduate of Urbana High School, and loved attending her class reunions, never missing one. She had worked at the University of Illinois and was a Clay County Election Judge for many years. Her role in life was first and foremost as "Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma." She was baptized at Four Square Church in Urbana. Neoma enjoyed mowing the lawn, gardening, attending auctions and yard sales, going to the gym, and always looked forward to participating in the Elder Walk. 53-year-old Tina Marie Hill of Flora, died Wednesday morning, January 5 at her home. She was born September 30, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Andy and Ruth A. (Oliver) DeVaughn. She was united in marriage to Alan Hill on September 19, 2016. Tina earned her bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and worked as a caregiver at the Burge House in Flora. She was a two-time cancer survivor. She took pride in staying fit and healthy and coached a cheer and tumbling All Star Team. She enjoyed time spent relaxing by the pool, working puzzles, fishing, and enjoying the outdoors. Family was very important to her, and she especially enjoyed time spent with her grandkids. She is survived by her children: Jasmine (Kenny) Rector of Xenia, Trey (Jenny) Lopez of Flora, and Tyler Lopez of Clay City; mother: Ruth A.
