Developing overnight. A road is closed after a water main break causes a sink hole. Kwwls Amanda Gilbert joins us live in waterloo. Shes been looking into this all morning to see how much damage has been done. I spoke with waterloo police. And they confirmed that a light pole caved in because of the sinkhole caused by the water main break. Officers tell me none of the wires from that pole got into the water. The water main break happened on river road between ansborough avenue and commercial street. Earlier in the morning. Police were redirecting traffic. They are no longer on scene. But this area of the road is still closed. The Waterloo Street department is repairing the damage. Police tell me the road will likely be closed the rest of the day because of the damage.
