they still have not rebuilt 20 months later. there is a federal law when you get reconstruction money from the federal government called the staford act and when you get federal matter you have to give a 10 percent match from the local government. when 9/11 happened in new york city, they waived the staford act. they said this is too serious of a problem and we can t expect new york city to lebuild on its own. forget that dollar. that was the right thing to do. what is happening down in new orleans? where is your dollar? where is your staford act money? it makes no sense. trust me, the bullet hasn t been taken out. it tells me that the people down in new orleans doesn t care as much.
hear and see is more of a tactic. sort of a communications tactic of making it sound like he s talking like a plan, like that 17,000 cap he threw out the other day and then his team walked that right back. probably karen, that s known as i ve got a hole in my pocket, dear liza. that s right. you ll hear him talk about a number of these things as if it sounds like a plan, but without any specifics. i think what you ll see from the president is more specifics. again, the president actually has a record to talk about. i mean, put forward a health care plan. happened to be, you know, based on mitt s, but whatever. he has a jobs plan, a number of things of specifics he can point to whereas romney doesn t. i think that will be part of the contrast the president will be going for. i think romney s only defense on that, since i don t think he ll give us specifics, is rhetoric and to make it sound like he has a plan. do you agree with that, mike? i think both have holes in specifics.
