Picture: ABISHEK CHAND The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific ‘Building Urban economic resilience during and after COVID-19’ workshop will likely establish a network and support for the implementation of the Suva City Economic Recovery Plan. Speaking during the launch of the workshop, Acting Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Local Government Shaheen Ali said it would ensure the communities thrive and become stronger. “Whilst there is a downturn in the economic activities in Suva, Nadi town, being a tourism hub and our international gateway has faced the biggest economic losses,” Mr Ali said.
