LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) – Friday is the last chance for local businesses to apply to the ‘Building Community Fund’.
The fund from the La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce will provide grants to area businesses with 50 or fewer full time employees.
Typical awards will be $7,500.
Since it was announced in mid-December, nearly $279,000 has been raised.
Award winners will be notified by the end of January.

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) The La Crosse area business community and La Crosse County have joined together to create the Building Community Grant Fund to help small businesses become more resilient in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The La Crosse Area Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday announced the fund offered in partnership with DBS Group, Fowler & Hammer, Inc., Interstate Roofing & Waterproofing, Inc., J.F. Brennan Company, Kish & Sons Electric, Market & Johnson, Mathy Construction Company, Schneider Heating & Air Conditioning, Wieser Brothers General Contractor, Inc., and La Crosse County.
