Jeff Sylvester finds a home: When Front Gallery closed its doors for good during the pandemic, this left a number of local artists without representation, including the talented multimedia king Jeff Sylvester. Happily, he’s ended up at Bugera Matheson Gallery, and his layered-resin empty cityscapes and murmurations of birds are accessible to see in person again. Sylvester recently did the cover of Maria Dunn’s awesome new album, Joyful Banner Blazing, and is a longtime collaborator with Corb Lund as well, art-wise. Good Lovelies Christmas Time’s a Comin’ (virtual) Tour: What, you think just because we can’t do some stuff doesn’t mean we can’t do other stuff? The Edmonton Folk Music Festival and how we do miss those sunsets are in on Toronto folk-country trio Good Lovelies’ multi-day, multi-“stop” tour which includes Calgary, the U.K. and Australia the band giving back to local charities each show. Should be very sweet. And in case you missed this, folk fest alumnus Corb Lund was supposed to play through Five Dollar Bill back to back today with the
