The 'FLOtilla of FLOATmingos' returns to Hoyt Lake Saturday

The FLOtilla of FLOATmingos returns to Hoyt Lake Saturday WKBW and last updated 2021-05-14 10:11:28-04 BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — The Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy announced the FLOtilla of FLOATmingos returns to Hoyt Lake Saturday. The FLOATmingos were introduced in the summer of 2020. The flamingo is the unofficial mascot of Olmsted and coined the name FLOATmingo for Frederick Law Olmsted. There are now nine total floats available for rent through Hoyt Lake Rowboats. “Our partnership with the Buffalo Maritime Center and Hoyt Lake Rowboats is appreciated in offering this exciting community amenity as a fun boating option this summer,” said Stephanie Crockatt, Executive Director, Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy. “Park use has increased by 40% and as we embark on a new park season, we strive to provide you, and your friends and family, with healthy green spaces to relax, rejuvenate and re-energize. FLOATmingos return to Hoyt Lake for the summer

If you re looking for something fun to do with the family, head to Hoyt Lake! Starting Saturday, May 16, the FLOATmingos are making their return. The Juicery in Delaware Park to reopen

The Juicery in Delaware Park to reopen The kiosk, which is located in the park at the Nottingham and Meadow Drive entrance to the park, will be open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The Juicery will be run by partners Angelo Canna and Jake Caprow.  “Spending summers in the park as a child, running around, playing baseball, all with the anticipation that at some point we would get to stop by The Juicery are some of my fondest memories. It was an energizing jewel, a quaint little shack surrounded by the vibrant green of our beautiful Delaware Park,” said Angelo Canna. “I set out to bring back The Juicery, the one we all remember and that’s exactly what I’m doing.”
