So which in-house free agents should the Jets retain, other than safety Marcus Maye?
And who should walk?
WHO SHOULD STAY?
CB Brian Poole: He’s worth retaining, on an affordable contract, as a slot corner. He had a 77.1 Pro Football Focus grade last season, including 79.5 in coverage. He is starter material, especially for a cornerback-needy team like the Jets. And he is familiar with the Jets’ new Cover 3 defense, because he was in that system with coach Dan Quinn in Atlanta. Like new Jets coach Robert Saleh, Quinn brought the system with him when he left Seattle.

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Jets have released Henry Anderson, which quite frankly isn’t too surprising. You can expect the Jets to target a defensive end either in the draft or free agency now; and wouldn

GM Joe Douglas said after the season that he ll be in contact with C.J. Mosley, who opted out of the 2020 season due to COVID concerns, to see where he s at, make sure he s in a good place, his health is good, he s feeling good. Obviously, he s a special player. If Mosley is at his form from the Ravens and for pretty much one game as a Jet (the 2019 season opener vs. the Bills), this unit will be the stronger for it.
